How do I Troubleshoot my Apple TV

In case you cannot use your Homekit accessory via a secondary network, troubleshoot your system using the following instructions:

  • Make sure that you are using the same iCloud account on the Apple TV and your iOS device
  • Make sure your Apple TV’s version is 7 or more
  • Verify if you can manually control your HomeKit accessory
  • View user manual to troubleshoot this problem
  • Sign off/on from your iCloud account on Apple TV and iOS device
  • Click Settings -> Privacy ->Homekit-> Reset HomeKit Configuration
  • Factory Reset/Power Cycle your HomeKit Accessory
  • Factory Reset your Apple TV
  • Repeat the connecting procedure
