Setting Up my Aurora isn't Working


If you can see your Aurora in the App, but setup isn't working, you can try the following steps. If you can't see your Aurora, check out this article.

  1. Make sure your WiFi network is using WPA/WPA2 security
  2. Make sure you are setting up your Aurora on a 2.4GHz network, not a 5GHz network.
  3. Make sure your router has WiFi a/b/g/n modes enabled
  4. Make sure you are typing the password correctly (on Android)Make sure your router is compatible with Bonjour (mDNS)

    Aurora does not support Wifi passwords with special characters. Apple Home app or the Nanoleaf iOS app does not inform the user about this. If you are seeing error's like "Couldn't add Nanoleaf Aurora - Home couldn't connect to this accessory.", this could potentially be a culprit.
