Controller has failed and stopped working
The panels are all showing white and have come up as 'unreachable'. The controller that plugs into the panels does not appear to be working. The on/off no longer works and I have to pull it out in order to turn off the lights. I've tried to reset the controller by holding down both buttons as described in your documentation but there is no response and nothing flashes - it appears completely dead. It looks like I need a replacement - I've only had the product for 12 months. Anybody else with this issue?

Got the exactly same issue, also after around 12 months.
I got it partly back to work, after I did a hard reset.
Manual: https://helpdesk.nanoleaf.me/hc/en-us/articles/360003638413-How-do-I-reset-my-Light-Panels-
Weird thing is, as soon as I try to control it with Alexa, the controller is frozen again and I can't control it anymore with the app or anything else and need to at least reboot it.
Very annoying, I think since around 5 - 10 days.

I think my issue was caused by renaming my username in the nanoleaf app.
I've deleted the nanoleaf plugin in the alexa app and afterwards added it again. Now the control works again. I'm still on firmware 3.2.0, haven't yet received the newer version.
Regarding the sticky tabs, that shouldn't happen, unless you have a very bad paint job on the wall or if it's a bit wet. You did pull the sticker along the wall and not into your direction? See Tesa Powerstrips videos on how to remove them. They should normally not cause any damage to a wall (unless the panels fall down and take a part of the wall/paint with them....).

I have tried removing it from my Apple home plugin' app and that hasn't fixed the issue either. Also, I have yet to hear back from support.
Regarding the paint; it's not cheap! and maybe this could be from me using 3 sticky tabs per tile? I don't think that should have any effect of removing paint regardless.

My controller Panel has stopped working exactly 12 months to the day after purchase . I have tried everything Soft and Hard reset the panel is just plain DEAD!!
Now take into consideration that in the 12 months that I have had the panel the total usage time would not exceed more that 2 hours!
I suspect something is inherently wrong with the panel design or Nanoleaf have built in some very clever "Planned Obsolescence" routine into the panels so that they die anytime after 12 months. I am not quite sure.
So Nanoleaf where do we go from here?

I had the same issue, controller panel was black and all the other panels were white. The controller would not respond to a hard reset. We've had the unit for a little over a year and use it every day, it is on almost all day. I had a good experience with Nanoleaf support. After a bit of troubleshooting with them and a video to prove what I was experiencing they offered up a free replacement if I could show proof of purchase. Unfortunately for me it was a gift so no receipt but they still offered me a discount on a replacement which I think is pretty fair. Better support and service than a lot of products I've had.

@Dsnunweiler Yeah they tried get to me to start filming videos. I refused pointing to the fact that I understood English well enough to follow the simple instructions regarding resetting the Nanoleaf system that an 8 year could. We settled on sending pictures of the defective control panel instead.
To Nanoleaf’s credit after I sent them the pictures they agreed to replace the faulty unit if l could provide the required proof of purchase which l promptly did. So now it’s just a waiting game.
Having said that I am somewhat concerned that after such little use in the first instance it completely stopped working. I hope Nanoleaf has resolved it with the new panels.

Returning my Canvas kit for a new one due to controller failure. 9 months with a few hard resets to get them back working - but not so anymore... I was looking into bying more, but guess I will have to wait and see. Can't tell my wife I'm going to ruin our living room ceiling every few months...
