Is the Nanoleaf Bloom truly omnidirectional?Updated 3 years ago
The Nanoleaf Bloom has gone through a standard test called LM-79-08, a standard defined by Illuminating Engineering Society to determine its angular lighting distribution. The test was conducted by an EPA recognized certification body.
In the diagram below, the lines are showing the intensity of light in a given angle around the light bulb. The two different lines are for two different intersections of the light bulb. Because the Nanoleaf Bloom is not spherically symmetric, the two lines are slightly different. In short, the Nanoleaf Bloom emulates the traditional omnidirectional light bulb quite well.
This can be compared with the light distribution with a traditional incandescent light bulb, which shows that the Nanoleaf Bloom emulates the traditional omnidirectional light bulb quite well.
