We generally recommend using the Layout Assistant to test and configure your Nanoleaf Canvas before mounting the squares on the wall or ceiling.

Once the Canvas squares have been successfully paired with the Nanoleaf App, the Layout Assistant becomes available.

Besides verifying your current layout, you can rotate the orientation of your layout in the app by placing two fingertips on the screen and rotating clockwise or counterclockwise to determine the final position.

The Layout Assistant can also be used to create different shapes by moving the squares around or adding additional Canvas squares to the layout.

Using the augmented reality feature of the Layout Assistant, you can preview the design that you've created in front of your eyes with your mobile device's camera.
