Soft & Hard Resets for Nanoleaf LinesUpdated a year ago
When to perform a reset?
If your Lines are experiencing any unusual issues, our support team may direct you to perform a soft or hard reset to help solve the problem.
Additionally, as your Nanoleaf Lines can only be connected to one WiFi network at a time, the following steps will reset your Lines so they can be configured onto a new network.
Soft Reset: This will reset WiFi and all pairing information for your Lines, but will keep your saved Scenes.
- Make sure that your Lines are plugged in to power and have completed the startup cycle (if they are still starting up each Light Line will be solid white)
- Using a paperclip or pin, press the reset button on the Processor for 10 seconds. The LED on the Processor will start flashing rapidly.
- Release the reset button and after a few moments the LED will remain on and steady.
- Delete your Lines from the Nanoleaf App, and pair them again.
Hard Reset: This will reset WiFi and all pairing information for your Lines and delete your saved Scenes.
- Unplug your Lines from the wall.
- While they're unplugged, use a paperclip or pin to press and hold the reset button on the Processor.
- Keep holding the reset button as you plug your Lines back into the wall.
- Continue holding the reset button until the LED on the Processor lights up, then quickly release the reset button.
- The LED will flash to indicate that a hard reset is taking place, and the Processor will reset to factory defaults, and then boot up.
- The Lines are ready to be set up once the LED on the Processor stops flashing, and the Light Lines begin cycling through colors.
- Delete your Lines from the Nanoleaf App, and pair them again.
